CAMPS AT PORT CHESTER

We had a great summer at Kids U Camp! The next camps will be during “days off from school” in September and October. Camp is an opportunity to sample everything Kids U has to offer: gymnastics, rock climbing, cooking, science, music, craft projects, games, dance, martial arts, plus lots of other fun activities. Our regular class instructors will be leading the activities in a structured environment with and emphasis on FUN and FRIENDS! No two days are alike! Most camp programs are 3 hours long for children 4-9 years old. Children are required to be potty trained.

We are excited to announce that Kids U will be offering camp on “days off” from school. We want to provide campers with a fun, engaging experience while doing all we can to keep everyone safe and healthy. Please visit the CAMP 2020 GUIDELINES tab for our health, safety and cleaning protocols!

Kids U is planning for an in-person summer camp experience beginning on Tuesday, July 7th but is starting VIRTUAL! Kids can enjoy some of their favorite things about Kids U, with some fun new additions, at home! Virtual camp will be starting on June 15th and will end on Friday, July 3rd. Each week will have a different theme, which all activities will be centered around. Each day will include a live portion starting at 9:30am as well as activities and projects that can be done at your convenience over the course of the day. We will provide activity boxes that will include all components for the art projects, some ingredients for the cooking projects (the rest are mostly staples you should have in your pantry) with recipes, games and more!

Fees are $80/week which include the weekly activity box as well as resources for all online activities. A 10% sibling/multi-week discount will be applied. After you enroll, you will receive an email with details about accessing Virtual Camp.

The Way it Works:
The schedule for each week will be organized on an online bulletin board called a Padlet. Once you are enrolled in camp you will be sent the link to the Padlet with instructions on how to use it. The Padlet will be organized by day and you will be able to scroll through all the activities for the day. The first part of camp will be live via Zoom and then there will be a combination of pre-recorded videos, live videos and activities. There will be clickable links for all activities that are not live as well as links and meeting codes for all of the live meetings. Everything you need will be in one place!

The Activity Box:
The activity box will be a box of supplies that your child will use throughout the week. Included will be art project materials and instructions, recipe cards for cooking projects, coloring pages, stickers, a fun Kids U surprise and anything else that your child may need for the week. We will have pick-up times that will be arranged when you sign up.

Sample Daily Schedule:
9:30am – Live Morning Meeting via Zoom
9:50am – Live Gym Class via Zoom
